yoga retreat

to the sanctuary of the Heart

August 15-18, 2019

At Centre Tara de Bonsecours,

Eastern Townships with Eliot

The yoga tradition explains the heart as being the centermost part of everything from which everything emerges and to which everything dissolves. It is the source of all knowledge and truth. It is the fountain of discernment, courage and love.It is serene and yet intense, mysterious and compelling.

This retreat is meant to give us time and distance from daily activities

and provide us with teachings that will guide us into deep consideration

of this innermost sanctum, what is real, what is true, what is important.

Through beautiful and effective yoga practices enter, dwell, rest and transform in that beckoning Sanctuary called the Heart.

Prepare for your retreat

To make the most out of your retreat time, we recommend some preparation at the home front.

  • Take care of any loose ends at work or at home that you think could distract you from being fully present for the duration of the retreat.

  • Explain to the people who you are leaving behind that you are taking these days to be on your own and that you will not be in communication.

  • Leave people at home with Eliot’s cell phone number: 819-923-7077 and Centre Tara’s coordinates (see here) so they know how to reach you in case of an emergency.

  • Put automatic replies on your email accounts.

  • Make a commitment with yourself to honor this precious time.
