Once a month* on Sunday afternoons
journey to the heart of ancient wisdom
with Eliot
This coming study session, following our last consideration of a few sūtras of the second pada or chapter of the Yoga Sūtra of Patañjal, we will be delving deeper. In this pada, we are explained how to obtain the state of yoga by way of yoga of action, which includes meditation, discipline, careful study and devotion to Ishvara (the transcendent).
The chapter generously explains to us what afflicts us and stands in the way of our capacity to experience the transcendent self. What keeps bringing our karma into fruition. Ignorance is at the very base of all our afflictions, explains Patañjali. How to remove ignorance is quite simple…come to our Sunday afternoon study sessions and you may find out!
