SAND16 US

A Taste of Science and Nonduality Gathering "This is the place where big questions 'Who am I?', 'What is life?' can be explored utilizing all lenses." "No question is off limits, every question is worth asking." "Is there a basis for what we perceive in the manifest world as spiritual?

SAND (Science and Nonduality) just finished hosting its annual gathering of minds in San Jose, California and Centre Yoga Aylmer would like to share with you what this event is all about. Their web site offers a glimpse of their fascinating lectures and the guests that come to their gathering. These excerpts from SAND's web site give you some insight as to what the organisation stands for:

"Science and Nonduality (SAND) aims at fostering a new relationship to spirituality, free from religious dogma, based on timeless wisdom traditions, informed by cutting-edge science, and grounded in direct experience.

Science and Nonduality provides a forum where preeminent scientists, philosophers, teachers, artists and a large, international community gather to explore and advance the new paradigm emerging in spirituality, that is both grounded in cutting-edge science and consistent with the ancient wisdom of nonduality — the deep understanding of the interconnectedness of life.

"Ultimately, SAND is a playground where we come together to explore and share insights or simply reflect on what is emerging in consciousness. Knowing defines life, not-knowing reminds us of the mystery and perfection of each and every moment. At SAND, we invite you to stop resisting what is happening right now and surrender to the not-knowingness. Let life and this amazing mystery unfold!

On these pages you will encounter a playful, intellectual, and yet heart-centered community. It is a platform where we explore big questions with curiosity and lightness. Where we share our insights with openness and meet one another beyond concepts, in the silence of this moment.

Your presence here on our SAND platform is an honor and a joy for us. We hope you will find something in our offerings that will inspire you."

Bobby Clennell is a very inspiring yoga teacher.  She has written several books on yoga for women and she teaches with wisdom, enthusiasm and a great sense of humour.  I took a wonderful weekend workshop with Bobby last summer when she came to Ottawa, hosted by my teacher Barbara Young.  I learned so much!

So, here is a little bit of Bobby's creativity and wisdom for you!  Please make sure to read her helpful hints and advice for each āsana as you go along.

May we all be inspired!
